Asleep and Tenminds have signed a business agreement for a "strategic partnership to develop a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI)-based sleep platform," the companies said on the 30th.
The two companies will cooperate in several areas: installing Asleep's sleep measurement software in Tenminds' motion pillow product lineup; jointly developing medical devices and pursuing regulatory approval to alleviate sleep apnea and improve snoring; mutually opening sales channels and conducting joint marketing; and jointly entering global markets. Full-scale cooperation will begin with Tenminds' new products, which are scheduled for release in the second half of this year. It will then expand to the entire product lineup.
Asleep and Tenminds plan to gradually expand their sleep data-based product lineup and jointly enter global markets including the United States, Europe, and Japan. They will also develop products for patients who suffer from sleep disorders without being aware of them.
Lee Dong-heon, CEO of Asleep, said, "We are presenting an experience in which hospital-level sleep analysis is performed in the bedroom every night, and the results lead to the pillow's immediate response." Jang Seung-woong, CEO of Tenminds, said, "We will open the global market together with a sleep platform that no one can follow."
