KT (030200.KS) said on the 13th that it has launched a public-sector AI email security service that has obtained the Cloud Service Assurance Program (CSAP) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
KT AI Email Security is a cloud-based security service that uses AI technology to detect and block cyber threats delivered through email, such as ransomware and phishing emails. Through a three-stage filtering system—spam blocking, AI analysis, and advanced persistent threat (APT) response—it identifies and blocks malicious emails within one minute, forwarding only legitimate emails to the customer's mail server.
In particular, the newly launched "public-sector" AI email security is the first in Korea to receive CSAP certification among email security services that combine AI and APT technologies. CSAP is Korea's leading security certification system that evaluates whether cloud services provided to national and public institutions meet information protection standards.
KT plans to target the email security market centered on public and national universities, which have been major targets for hackers. The company explained that it has enabled institutions to use cloud-based security services without large-scale investment or the introduction of separate security equipment, allowing them to pursue digital transformation and strengthen security simultaneously while lowering the budget burden.
In addition, the service allows up to three types of APT analysis engines to be selectively applied, and maintains malicious email detection accuracy of more than 97 percent through continuous AI learning and security enhancement. To improve the work efficiency of security personnel, it also provides a "One-View" function that displays the basis for detecting malicious activity, occurrence details, and risk levels on a single screen.
KT said, "With this certification as an opportunity, we plan to raise the level of email security for public and educational institutions and provide an environment that can more effectively respond to growing cyber threats."
