Raonsecure, an artificial intelligence (AI) security and authentication platform company, is boosting shareholder value through a share buyback worth 2 billion won.
Raonsecure announced on the 9th that it had signed a trust agreement to acquire its own shares to this end. The number of shares to be acquired is 277,392 common shares. The acquisition price was calculated based on 7,210 won, the closing price on the day before the resolution date.
The company explained that this share buyback is part of its responsible management aimed at boosting shareholder value. Earlier last month, Lee Soon-hyung, the CEO and largest shareholder, also increased his holdings through open-market purchases.
Raonsecure has maintained solid growth, posting its highest revenue since its founding last year. This year, it has been accelerating the development of an agentic AI-based security automation platform. It is also expanding its next-generation security business results, including securing a supply contract with the financial sector in the field of post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
The digital ID authentication business is also a stable growth pillar. Based on proven authentication technologies such as mobile ID, blockchain-based digital ID, and multi-factor authentication (MFA), the company is expanding its business base in the public and private markets.
"Ahead of the share buyback, we comprehensively assessed the company's mid- to long-term growth potential and corporate value," a Raonsecure official said. "We will strengthen our technological leadership in the security and authentication market, centered on our agentic AI-based security automation platform, while also continuing responsible management to boost shareholder value."
