
MDS Tech (086960.KQ) has fully overhauled its TRACE32 technical training program in partnership with global semiconductor company STMicroelectronics, the company said on the 8th.
The revamped training aims to cultivate hands-on embedded debugging experts who meet the demands of the high-performance microcontroller (MCU) market. The two companies exchanged equipment for the program, with MDS Tech providing its high-performance debugging tools TRACE32 and Arm Keil MDK, and STMicroelectronics supplying development boards for its latest MCU, the STM32H7.
The updated curriculum incorporates user interface changes and additional options aligned with the latest TRACE32 software updates into the course materials. The program centers on hands-on practice using the on-chip and off-chip trace functions of the STM32 NUCLEO-H7S3L8 board to precisely track and analyze the internal operations of a system. Accordingly, the companies fully upgraded not only the existing TRACE32 introductory course but also the advanced course covering complex memory dump analysis and real-time debugging. The Arm Keil MDK training course will also be fully revamped based on the newly provided STM32 board environment.
Rather than focusing on theory, trainees will develop the ability to intuitively resolve complex hardware issues and software errors that arise in real industrial settings using debugging equipment. MDS Tech said the program is also expected to offer an optimal debugging methodology for developers in the high-performance embedded processor field, where reliability and security are top priorities.
