Pearl Abyss (263750.KQ) will participate in Gamescom 2026, the world's largest game show to be held in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 26 to 30, together with Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), the company said Sunday.
Visitors will be able to experience Crimson Desert at the Samsung Electronics booth at Gamescom. Samsung Electronics has prepared 30 Crimson Desert demo PCs equipped with the world's first 6K gaming monitor, the "Odyssey G8 (G80HS)."
The 32-inch Odyssey G8 features a "Dual Mode" that allows users to freely switch between a 6K, 165Hz ultra-high-resolution mode and a 3K, 330Hz ultra-high-refresh-rate mode, providing an optimal gaming environment.
The combination of Pearl Abyss's next-generation game engine, the "BlackSpace Engine," and Samsung Electronics' gaming technology, which delivers top-tier image quality, is expected to further elevate Crimson Desert's realistic graphics and dynamic action.
Crimson Desert has gained significant popularity worldwide, recording 2 million units sold within a single day of release and 5 million units in less than a month, followed by 6 million units sold in 83 days. It is an unprecedented sales record in the history of Korean console games.
According to the 2026 U.S. video game sales rankings released in May by U.S. market research firm Circana, Crimson Desert ranked second in annual cumulative sales, proving its competitiveness in the global market.
