Thesolo, a company specializing in robot hand development, said Friday it has recently selected KB Securities as its underwriter and is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO). The company targets a listing after 2027.
Alongside the underwriter selection, Thesolo recently completed a Series B funding round. Existing shareholders including POSCO Technology Investment, KB Investment, and Enlight Ventures participated as follow-on investors. Industrial strategic investors such as Daesung Hitech and HL Mando also took part.
Thesolo specializes in developing robot hands used in industrial automation robots and humanoid robots, including its multi-joint robot hand "Delto Gripper" series. Based on its in-house developed actuator technology, the company has commercialized humanoid robot hands and multi-joint grippers. It is also developing grasping and manipulation control algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI)-based hand manipulation technology to enhance the task performance of robot hands. Building on this, Thesolo is expanding its application range into manufacturing, logistics, and research fields.
Thesolo is expanding its overseas business by securing customers mainly in global markets such as the United States, China, and Japan. To date, it has exported products to a cumulative 19 countries, and its overseas sales recently surpassed domestic sales, marking its transition into a company centered on global markets.
"Through the IPO, we will build a corporate foundation that global customers can trust, and based on this, we will accelerate our expansion into overseas markets," Thesolo CEO Kim Young-jin said.
