AhnLab (053800.KS) said Tuesday that its endpoint security solution "AhnLab V3" recorded a 100% malware detection rate and earned the top grade of A+ in the June certification test by global security evaluation agency Virus Bulletin's "VB100."
VB100 is a global security certification that verifies the malware response capabilities of Windows-based endpoint security products against threats circulating in real-world environments. It is used as a key indicator to evaluate a product's basic detection capability and stability, and is regarded as a representative performance evaluation program in which major security firms worldwide continuously participate.
In the June evaluation, AhnLab V3 demonstrated the highest level of detection accuracy and stability by recording a 100% malware detection rate while meeting the certification standards for false positives. In particular, it was the only company among major Korean security firms participating in the same evaluation to achieve a 100% detection performance and earn the top grade of A+.
In addition, based on a verification dataset built from actively circulating malware, V3 detected real-world malware without missing any while meeting the false positive standards for legitimate files.
