Webcash (053580.KQ) said Tuesday it will build an AI agent banking system for corporate clients at NH NongHyup Bank, the first such system among domestic commercial banks.
Webcash signed a contract with NongHyup Bank to build an "AI agent-based inquiry service" on the 16th. The two companies are pursuing the project with the goal of launching the official service in October.
The project is the first in a three-stage AI corporate banking development roadmap for NongHyup Bank's planned "agentic AI future-type corporate full-banking" system. At its core is building an environment where corporate clients can inquire, compare and analyze deposit and loan information through natural language conversation.
In corporate banking, a single corporate account is used by multiple executives and employees with different levels of authority, and large-scale funds such as salaries, transaction payments and loans are processed. Webcash explained that the technical difficulty of applying the service to customers is high, because if the AI misjudges a user's intent or access authority, it could lead to exposure of financial information or confusion in fund operations.
Once the service is built, when a user asks questions such as "Tell me the balance and maturity of the deposit products I hold" or "Analyze the change in my account balance compared to last month," the AI agent identifies the intent and conditions, retrieves the data and provides the results. It also supports multi-turn conversations that add conditions by carrying over the context of the previous conversation.
To this end, Webcash will build a conversational UI/UX, condition-based inquiries for deposit and loan accounts, financial data comparison and analysis, and loan repayment simulations. It plans to apply its self-developed NL2SQL solution and an AI agent administrator site. The company has currently completed conversation scenario design and the formation of its development team, and has begun development.
"Corporate banking is an area requiring a high level of accuracy and stability because the authority of multiple users is connected to large-scale funds," said Kang Won-joo, CEO of Webcash. "Based on our own AI technology, we will successfully support NongHyup Bank's transition to agent banking and provide corporate clients with a new financial work experience."
