SK Telecom said Tuesday it will conduct training to cultivate talent in the security and network fields needed for the era of artificial intelligence (AI) transformation, targeting unemployed youth.
Together with Korea IT Academy, SKT will operate "ALEPH" to train practical talent in the AI security and network fields as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's K-New Deal Academy project, and plans to recruit trainees.
ALEPH is a practical AX education program in which the full tuition of approximately 19.6 million won is funded by the state. Unemployed youth aged 15 to 34 are eligible to participate, and the program will run in person on weekdays in Daejeon, Daegu and Busan from this August through November next year. If requirements are met, training allowances of up to 500,000 won per month will also be provided.
The program was designed in line with the trend of AI spreading across corporate security and network operating environments. The core is to develop practical skills that can apply AI to corporate infrastructure operations.
The curriculum focuses on practical projects and portfolio building, going beyond education centered on simple theory or certification acquisition. Trainees will perform tasks close to actual corporate environments—such as AI-based virtual corporate network operations, security policy design, corporate infrastructure building, anomaly analysis and breach response—producing results that can be used in the field.
SKT plans to reflect field cases accumulated in the AI network and security fields in the curriculum, and to support mentoring with the participation of current professionals as well as project reviews. Through this, SKT intends to help trainees understand problems in actual industrial settings and develop the ability to design solutions using AI.
SKT, which is pursuing company-wide AX, is strengthening its capabilities to apply AI to actual work, customer experience and industrial settings. ALEPH is also a program connected to this trend of AX expansion, and is expected to play a meaningful role in cultivating practical talent in the AI security and network fields.
Applications are open until August 10, and education applications and detailed curriculum can be checked through the official website.
