SOOP has expanded access to its artificial intelligence (AI) video assistant "SOOPi" to all users, alongside a service update.
SOOP said Wednesday it had carried out an update to strengthen SOOPi's conversation quality and content recommendation features. SOOPi is an AI video assistant service that learns streamers' faces, voices, speech patterns and broadcast histories based on SOOP's video data. It communicates with users in real time and recommends content.
The update focused on enhancing conversation memory and response quality so that SOOPi can carry on conversations with users more naturally. SOOPi can now remember more of a conversation than before and maintain context. SOOP also upgraded its in-house Large Video Model (LVM), which learns from streamers' broadcast videos, and strengthened its question-intent analysis function to improve the accuracy and naturalness of responses. The company also expanded the content recommendation feature so that it can recommend various pages and news information within SOOP.
Access has also been broadened. Previously, only streamers' avid fans and subscription fans could use SOOPi, but now all users can try it for free. General users can hold conversations of up to five turns, while avid fans and subscription fans can use it as before.
The number of streamers supporting SOOPi has also increased to a total of 54, including Kim Min-gyo and Lee Sang-ho. It can be activated from the "My Profile" menu in the SOOP app and on the web, and users can select their desired streamer.
To mark the update, SOOP will hold various events through the 17th of next month. It will run a Drops event offering gift certificates through a drawing for users who have conversations with SOOPi, and has also prepared an attendance check event for avid fans and subscription fans. Attendance is recognized when a user completes five or more conversations per day with the SOOPi of a streamer they subscribe to, and cumulative participants are given a chance to enter a drawing for a Nintendo Switch.
