Content from top creators cited in Naver's (035420.KS) artificial intelligence (AI) search service exceeded 350 million instances in a single month, according to industry data. Analysts say the company's rich data assets, built on its own content ecosystem, are lifting AI search quality and creating differentiated competitiveness.
According to the information technology (IT) industry on Wednesday, content produced by "Naver Mate," the company's group of top creators, was cited about 355.82 million times in April through "AI Briefing," a service that summarizes AI search results. Naver has selected and operates 3,000 expert creators active on blogs, cafes, Knowledge iN, and premium content as Naver Mate. This means an average of more than 100,000 pieces of content per creator were incorporated into AI search results.
Content from experts in economics and personal finance accounted for a particularly high share of citations. Representative examples include posts from blogs covering finance and securities such as "A Life Growing Distant from the Public" (55.65 million cumulative this year) and "Dreaming Eric's Economic Study" (7.91 million cumulative), as well as Knowledge iN creator "Niljeong" (5.43 million cumulative). Citation rates in the legal field were also high, including professional creators such as "Attorney Jang Ji-ho" (13.1 million cumulative) and "Loss Adjuster Park Han-seok" (4.51 million cumulative).
Performance was also notable in the education field. The English education blog "Jericho Appreciation Society" (14.48 million cumulative) and Knowledge iN creator "Binary English" (8.01 million cumulative) ranked among the top.
These figures show that the competitiveness of AI search ultimately depends on securing differentiated source content and top creators. Analysts say a virtuous cycle has taken hold, in which writing by creators with expertise and credibility raises AI search quality, and AI services in turn expand the exposure of their content. Starting next month, Naver plans to provide special grants of up to 10 million won to Naver Mate members to further accelerate the inflow of top creators.
"In the AI era, the value of content containing experience and expertise accumulated over a long period is more important than the mere quantity of information," a Naver official said. "Through Naver Mate, we will help expert creators grow and solidify a virtuous-cycle ecosystem in which their knowledge and experience feed back into AI competitiveness."
