Genians, a cybersecurity company, has proven the global competitiveness of its endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution.
Genians said Monday that its EDR solution received final certification in the "2026 EDR Detection Validation Test" conducted by AV-Comparatives, a global security product performance evaluation organization. EDR security refers to a security technology that detects and responds to abnormal access occurring on user devices such as laptops and PCs.
The certification Genians obtained is a credible validation arena where leading global security vendors from around the world participate to compete on their technological capabilities. To obtain final certification, a solution must demonstrate uninterrupted detection visibility in more than two-thirds of the stages of an advanced attack chain, and prove its "contextualization" capability to organically link access occurring across different infrastructures.
In addition, a solution must simultaneously satisfy reliability requirements by thoroughly controlling the generation of indiscriminate warning alerts to three or fewer of a total of five false-positive scenarios that mistake normal system management activities for threats.
Among the nine solutions that received final certification in this validation, Genians was the only Korean company.
The AI security features embedded in the Genians platform also drew significant attention. Genian EDR, based on a machine learning detection engine, visualizes and provides threat types, classifications, and similarity scores through an intuitive graphic dashboard.
