Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang attached conditions barring transfer and after-sales service when he handed out vouchers for an unreleased laptop to citizens during his visit to Korea, it was confirmed.
According to the information technology (IT) industry on Tuesday, Huang visited three PC cafes during his trip to Korea this month and distributed "RTX Spark" vouchers to some citizens through on-site drawings. Nvidia drew up product gift contracts on the spot with those who received the vouchers. The contracts contained three conditions: △no product return, transfer, or cash exchange △no voucher transfer △and a disclaimer of responsibility for product use and maintenance after receipt.
The RTX Spark is a new laptop product that Nvidia unveiled for the first time this year. Developed together with Microsoft (MS), it is designed to run artificial intelligence (AI) agents without an internet connection. Huang unveiled the actual RTX Spark for the first time during this visit to Korea. However, since the product has not been officially launched, Nvidia decided to first grant vouchers through the on-site event and then deliver the actual products after the official launch.
