Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, who had been scheduled to visit Korea on Tuesday, has postponed his trip.
OpenAI said Wednesday that Altman's visits to Asia, including Korea, were postponed due to personal reasons. "Just as CEO Altman was looking forward to this visit, we deeply regret that he will be unable to carry out the planned schedule," OpenAI said. "Korea is a very important country and strategic partner to OpenAI, and ongoing collaboration with our partners will continue as planned." OpenAI added that it "hopes CEO Altman can visit Korea again in the near future to greet people in person."
Altman had originally been scheduled to meet with major Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics, Kakao, and Naver, during the visit.
