Naver will live-stream all matches of the "2026 FIFA World Cup" in North and Central America, running from June 12 to July 20, on its in-house streaming platform Chzzk.
Naver announced the plan Wednesday, along with a feature called "Streaming Co-Viewing." Streaming Co-Viewing allows streamers and viewers to watch specific content together while communicating in real time. Naver plans to conduct co-viewing with various creator channels, including popular streamers Han Dong-suk and Wolf, as well as Shoot for Love, ESTAR TV, Channel Fifteen Nights, and PLAVE.
Naver plans to provide real-time artificial intelligence (AI) short-form clips during World Cup live streams, and to quickly upload VOD highlights by player and match after games end, delivering World Cup footage even to users who missed the live broadcasts. The company will also provide AI briefings tailored to situations before, after, and during matches based on official FIFA data.
In addition, starting June 12 on Chzzk, users watching broadcasts in the soccer and "FC Online" and "FC Mobile" categories can directly enjoy three "FC Online"-based mini-games within the broadcast screen. Naver also plans to combine user data between the two companies to provide personalized Nexon game content within the Chzzk screen.
Beyond this, Naver will operate a World Cup-only lounge, a participatory community where soccer fans and experts can freely cheer, analyze, and debate. It will also deliver World Cup-related information quickly and accurately by providing various real-time data, including win probabilities, championship team predictions, match and player records, and projected advancement probabilities by round.
Meanwhile, Naver is running a "World Cup Match Prediction" event in collaboration with official FIFA sponsor Coca-Cola. Participants will receive up to 1 million won in Npay points depending on their match prediction success rate. In addition, new Naver Plus Membership subscribers with no usage history within the past 90 days will receive live streaming access to all World Cup matches, along with a Naver Plus Store shopping support coupon pack worth up to 10,000 won and a Kurly N Mart 3,000 won discount coupon.
