Hancom has concluded its 2026 wage and collective bargaining agreement ahead of schedule.
The company said Wednesday it had finalized this year's wage and collective bargaining negotiations with its labor union, "Activism." Under the agreement, Hancom raised employees' salaries by an average of 5.8%. It also created and supplemented various provisions to improve working conditions, including expanded welfare points and annual leave.
Labor and management also agreed to act as One-Team to pursue sustainable growth and the expansion of the global artificial intelligence (AI) business, based on a culture of coexistence and cooperation.
"As we have strengthened internal cohesion through the labor-management agreement, we expect that the push for the new business roadmap, as well as the strategy to expand global markets centered on Europe and Japan, will gain further momentum," the company said. Buoyed by the early conclusion of the wage and collective bargaining agreement, Hancom plans to accelerate its sovereign agentic operating system (OS) business and its global business expansion. Earlier, Hancom said at a strategy presentation in May that it would pursue the sovereign agentic OS business. It also changed its name from Hangul and Computer to Hancom, 36 years after its founding.
"This early conclusion of the wage and collective bargaining agreement is an achievement that labor and management created together, sharing a vision for the company's future growth direction," said Kim Yeon-soo, CEO of Hancom. "Based on stable organizational operations, we will successfully pursue our new AI business and leap forward to become a global AI company."
