XGate, a network security specialist, has carried out an organizational restructuring that separates its business and management functions to accelerate growth.
The company announced this on Tuesday, saying it had recruited Kim Jun-hyung, formerly a director at Genians, as vice president of sales. Kim is a veteran expert in IT and cybersecurity who served as a business division head at Genians, a leading Korean provider of network access control (NAC) and endpoint security. He is regarded as a figure who built a distinctive sales structure spanning the public, financial, and private markets and led successful business growth over many years.
The company described the restructuring as "a decision to enhance expertise and strengthen the speed of market response by separating management functions from business operations." Existing Vice President Kim Tae-hwa will oversee the management planning division, focusing on overall corporate management including finance, human resources, general affairs, and new business, as well as expansion in the defense industry sector.
XGate plans to further strengthen the competitiveness of its existing businesses while accelerating its expansion into next-generation security businesses. Alongside its existing integrated security solutions and SSL visibility solutions, the company intends to expand into the private enterprise market centered on quantum cryptography security and AI-powered next-generation firewalls, while also accelerating efforts to identify business opportunities in the defense and defense industry sectors.
"Based on the field experience and sales know-how I have built up in the security industry over the past 20 years or so, I will provide security value that meets customer needs, maximize synergy among business organizations, and lead XGate's sustainable growth," Kim said of his aspirations.
Joo Gap-soo, CEO of XGate, said, "This restructuring is not a simple personnel change but a strategic transformation to secure a foundation for future growth." He added, "Under the leadership of Vice President Kim, who has proven leadership, we will take another leap forward as a leading Korean security company through stronger business execution and market expansion."
