Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, visited Naver's 1784 headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on Monday and said, "The more GPUs you have, the more you can work and the happier you can be."
Huang visited the Naver building to discuss a roadmap for the global AI factory business with Lee Hae-jin, chairman of Naver's board. Arriving at the headquarters at around 3:50 p.m., Huang greeted the crowd that had gathered, saying, "I love you guys."
Immediately after meeting on the first floor of the building, Huang and Lee held an event to fill in the final speech bubble of a webtoon created by the artists of "The Greatest Estate Designer," a flagship work of Naver Webtoon. The work depicts a young man who wants to achieve both work and happiness meeting Huang and Lee to seek advice. Referring to a "samgyeopsal meeting" he had held with Huang on Friday, Lee said, "I would advise, 'Happiness is the samgyeopsal (pork belly), and work is the kkaennip (perilla leaf). Wrap them together and eat them at once.'" He added, "Because I believe there must be a good path where you can find both work and happiness at once, without separating them."
Huang wrote in the speech bubble, "Don't worry, I have GPUs." He then said, "I agree with Chairman Lee," explaining, "I believe that the more GPUs I have, the more I can work and the happier I can be." Huang and Lee then held a live broadcast through "Chzzk," Naver's gaming and live-streaming platform. The number of concurrent viewers during the live broadcast neared about 60,000.
Earlier that morning, Naver and Nvidia also announced plans to push for the construction of a gigawatt (GW)-scale ultra-large global artificial intelligence (AI) factory. The two companies plan to begin operating a 55-megawatt (MW) infrastructure in 2027 and to gradually expand their AI infrastructure business in the Asian, Middle Eastern, and European markets.
