
KT (030200.KS) said Friday it will upgrade its zero-trust security strategy to apply constant prevention and preemptive response systems across its entire enterprise. Zero trust is a security model based on the concept that no person or device should be trusted by default, even when inside an organization's network.
To move away from its existing reactive approach toward a security system centered on preemptive response, KT has introduced a behavior-based detection system. The system analyzes in real time anomalous behavior occurring on individual devices such as PCs and servers, as well as abnormal traffic and signs of attacks across the network. The company also plans to establish a system that uses pre-detection technology to perform multiple detection of anomalous behavior occurring on endpoints and the network.
KT will also upgrade its microsegmentation architecture to block the spread of damage early in the event of a security breach. Microsegmentation is a technology that controls the path through which security threats spread after an attacker penetrates internally, preventing damage from reaching other systems. After completing operational stability and policy verification this year, the company plans to apply the technology across its entire work environment by segmenting the scope of access and communication permitted for each system.

"Going forward, we will continue to take the lead in applying advanced security technologies to maintain the security level of our key work systems and services at the highest standard."
