Shin Jae-min, CEO of Trillion Labs, a startup developing large language models (LLMs), met with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang after being invited to the chipmaker's private event.
According to information technology (IT) industry sources on Wednesday, Shin attended the "Korea Partner Night" event held in Taipei, Taiwan, on Monday. At the event, Shin met directly with CEO Huang and his eldest daughter, Madison Huang, senior director of Omniverse and Robotics at Nvidia.
Korea Partner Night was held as a private networking event during GTC Taipei, Nvidia's annual developer conference. Executives from major conglomerates closely tied to Nvidia's graphics processing unit (GPU) ecosystem, as well as partner companies directly or indirectly involved in Nvidia's Korea business, were invited. Trillion Labs is understood to have received Nvidia's invitation in recognition of its achievement in developing an LLM from scratch. Shin previously presented Trillion Labs' Korean-language LLM strategy as a speaker at the GTC 2025 event last year.
Trillion Labs, which has focused on the LLM development business, plans to concentrate more on artificial intelligence (AI) models for managing data centers and energy power plants going forward. The company will maintain its existing AI model business while focusing on specific industry sectors. Trillion Labs plans to develop AI models that autonomously understand and optimize facility management and production cycles for AI factories, a concept that combines data centers and energy power plants. Trillion Labs recently began related collaboration with GS Group.
