SK AX has launched "Xgentic Wire Compliance," an artificial intelligence (AI) service that identifies content that could pose legal risks, including greenwashing, and offers response measures, the company said Thursday.
Xgentic Wire Compliance has been trained on more than 3,400 court rulings and review decisions to determine whether content violates regulations through false or exaggerated eco-friendly advertising. When users enter product brochures, disclosure reports or website addresses into the service's input window, they receive an assessment of potential legal violations and follow-up guidelines within seconds.
The service analyzes relevant laws and past disciplinary cases to classify risk levels in stages. The "clear risk" level applies to content expected to face monetary sanctions such as penalties and fines. The "borderline risk" level covers content subject to administrative sanctions such as warnings, corrective recommendations and orders. The "low risk" level refers to content that constitutes a violation but has no precedent of disciplinary action. Based on the risk level, the service also suggests alternative wording to replace problematic phrases and proposes essential supporting documentation to mitigate the risk of legal disputes.
SK AX has integrated Xgentic Wire Compliance into "Click ESG," its comprehensive ESG management platform. Used by approximately 3,400 domestic companies, Click ESG provides customized diagnostic results — including analysis of key industry indicators, peer comparisons and identification of areas for improvement — when users input data on environmental, social and governance items.
