NC AI, a physical artificial intelligence (AI) specialist, and NHN Cloud have joined forces to expand their cloud-based business. The two companies plan to combine their core technologies and business capabilities to meet growing demand for AI transformation (AX) and further strengthen their influence in the domestic cloud market.
The two companies announced Monday that they had signed a "strategic memorandum of understanding for joint business promotion based on AI solutions and cloud infrastructure." The signing ceremony was held the previous day at NHN Cloud's headquarters, Play Museum, with Kim Dong-hoon, CEO of NHN Cloud, and Lee Yeon-soo, CEO of NC AI, among other key officials in attendance.
Through this partnership, the two companies will build a comprehensive cooperation framework covering AI infrastructure operations and technology advancement, joint sales and market expansion, and collaboration on national projects and public sector initiatives.
In particular, they will work together to successfully deploy NC AI's key technologies across diverse industrial sites, including its "World Model," which simulates the physical laws of the real world, and its "Physical AI" technology, which enables interaction with actual environments. NHN Cloud will leverage its expertise in operating large-scale GPU infrastructure to optimize high-performance computing resources and provide the stable computing environment essential for implementing these innovative technologies.
The two companies will launch full-scale joint sales activities targeting major industry sectors such as public services and finance. They plan to propose AI convergence solutions and cloud services optimized for industrial sites to expand their market dominance, while conducting joint marketing through various channels including conferences and seminars to jointly strengthen both brands' recognition in the domestic business ecosystem.
The partners will also accelerate strategic cooperation to win national projects led by the government and public institutions. By jointly designing cloud environments that comply with public security guidelines, they aim to take a leading role in building a national-level AI infrastructure and fostering an ecosystem for domestic technology self-reliance.
"The core of this partnership is building an optimal infrastructure environment where our physical AI and World Model technologies can be applied across diverse industrial sites," CEO Lee said. "Based on the strong synergy between the two companies, we will drive successful AX for both public and private enterprises."
"The foundation of AI competitiveness ultimately lies in stable and advanced infrastructure," CEO Kim said. "Through this collaboration, we will support the implementation of various AI services, including physical AI, at actual industrial sites. By providing industry-specific customized services, we will build an AI transformation environment that can be adopted with confidence and expand successful AX cases."
