Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 announced Tuesday that it has completed platform integration with "The Hyundai Hi," a premium curation specialty mall operated by Hyundai Department Store. Through this integration, online businesses using the Cafe24 platform can list their products on The Hyundai Hi and expand into premium sales channels.
The Hyundai Hi is a premium curation specialty mall officially launched in April this year by Hyundai Department Store, which merged its existing online mall "TheHyundai.com" with its food specialty mall "Hyundai Food Hall To Home." At the top of the main screen, lifestyle content selected by specialist editors is displayed instead of discount items or promotional events. The platform brings together specialty sections by category — including fashion, household goods, food, and beauty — within a single platform, allowing consumers to freely explore areas of interest as if browsing a department store floor. Currently, about 3,000 brands directly vetted by Hyundai Department Store buyers have entered the platform.
Online businesses using the Cafe24 platform can request entry screening for The Hyundai Hi through the Market Plus function in the administrator page. Once the request is approved, they can immediately integrate the platform and begin sales. Through the Cafe24 shopping mall administrator page, sellers can handle product registration, order confirmation, and inventory management for The Hyundai Hi together, eliminating the need to switch between separate management pages. Product information and inventory are synchronized in real time between direct-to-consumer (D2C) shopping malls and The Hyundai Hi, improving business efficiency.
Through this integration, online businesses can now list their products on a premium channel vetted by Hyundai Department Store in addition to operating D2C shopping malls, securing access to new consumer segments. In particular, sellers can meet consumers in a sales environment where experts verify brand value rather than one based on simple price competition, which is expected to help expand sales and effectively raise brand awareness.
Cafe24 plans to integrate The Hyundai Hi channel into its premium service "Cafe24 PRO" in the future. "By integrating our platform with The Hyundai Hi channel, which consolidates Hyundai Department Store's distribution capabilities, we have created an environment where Cafe24-based brands can meet new customers through a premium channel," said Lee Jae-suk, CEO of Cafe24. "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with The Hyundai Hi to support online businesses in growing their operations while enhancing their brand value."
