KT CEO Park Yun-young visited the KT International Communications Center in Busan to encourage employees working to maintain stable global telecommunications network operations.
KT announced on January 12 that CEO Park visited the Busan KT International Communications Center on January 10 to inspect telecommunications infrastructure connecting major continents and countries worldwide. The Busan KT International Communications Center is a cable landing station that handles most international internet traffic. A cable landing station is a telecommunications gateway facility that brings international submarine cables onto land and connects them to domestic telecommunications networks and data infrastructure. KT currently operates five submarine cables, through which it monitors cable landing station equipment and submarine cable conditions across Asian countries.
During his visit to the control room at the KT International Communications Center, CEO Park said, "Please faithfully fulfill your role in establishing the best infrastructure and operational systems for KT to leap forward as an AX (AI transformation) platform company."
Meanwhile, CEO Park has been continuing his field-centered communication management, starting with a visit to the KT Network and Security Control Center immediately after his inauguration on December 31, followed by visits to the Honam Regional Network Division and Corporate Sales Division. On January 8, he also met with employees at the Total Sales Center at KT Gunpo Tower in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province.
