KT CEO Park Yun-young visited the KT International Communications Center in Busan to encourage employees working to maintain stable global telecommunications network operations.
KT announced on the 12th that CEO Park visited the Busan KT International Communications Center on the 10th of this month to inspect communications infrastructure connecting major continents and countries worldwide. The Busan KT International Communications Center is a cable landing station that handles most international internet traffic. A cable landing station is a telecommunications gateway facility that brings international submarine cables onto land and connects them to domestic telecommunications networks and data infrastructure. KT currently operates five submarine cables, through which it monitors cable landing station equipment and submarine cable conditions across Asian countries.
CEO Park told field employees, "Please faithfully fulfill your role in building the best infrastructure and operational systems as KT leaps forward to become an AX (AI transformation) platform company."
