LG CNS is accelerating the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) of Korea's enterprise resource planning (ERP) market in partnership with SAP.
LG CNS announced Thursday that it co-hosted the "Business AI for ERP Summit" with SAP at Josun Palace Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, on Wednesday. At the event, LG CNS unveiled its next-generation ERP AX execution strategy based on "SAP Business AI."
SAP Business AI is a technology that integrates AI into core business systems including ERP, which manages enterprise functions such as finance, procurement, production, and supply chain. The technology automates repetitive tasks and supports data-driven decision-making. LG CNS has been preemptively securing SAP Business AI capabilities to gain a first-mover advantage in the AI ERP market. Since last year, the company has been cultivating specialized talent together with SAP's Asia-Pacific (APAC) division and established a dedicated unit, the "ERP AX Business Division," earlier this year. Building on this foundation, the company is now fully launching AI ERP consulting and implementation services for enterprises.
At the event, Paul Wang, Head of AI for SAP Asia-Pacific, explained in his keynote that companies must embed AI across their entire operations to generate tangible business outcomes. Jang Hyun-jung, Head of LG CNS's ERP AX Business Division, shared strategies for implementing SAP Business AI tailored to the Korean enterprise environment and presented practical AI ERP adoption approaches that customers can apply immediately in the field. Son Dong-shin, a fellow at LG CNS Future Robotics Lab, discussed the latest humanoid trends and ways to leverage SAP's robot-based AI service, "SAP Embodied AI," in conjunction with LG CNS's robotics platform.
LG CNS has been showcasing its ERP technology at "SAP Sapphire" annually since 2024. Last year, the company became the first Korean firm to join SAP's Asia-Pacific Regional Strategic Service Partner (RSSP) initiative. "AI should not be treated as a specific tool but must be embedded as an organization's operating system. Beyond simply adopting technology, it is crucial to fundamentally redesign how work is performed through AI agents," said Nae Han-shin, Executive Vice President of LG CNS's Enterprise Solutions Business Division. "LG CNS will create tangible innovation outcomes based on our strategic partnership with SAP."
