Artificial intelligence-based diagnostics solution company Weeplow has raised 5.5 billion won ($4 million) in Series A funding, according to venture investment information platform TheVC on the 8th. The round brings Weeplow's cumulative funding to 11.8 billion won.
Weeplow has developed solutions that combine fusion sensor-based hardware with AI-powered data analysis software to detect anomalies and predict failures in mobility platforms such as drones. The technology can be applied from quality inspection during the production stage to condition monitoring during operation. It analyzes the status of mobility equipment on a data-driven basis, enabling early identification of problems.
The company plans to use the funds to strengthen its diagnostic technology capabilities across the entire mobility manufacturing and operations process. In particular, it aims to expand into public-sector and global markets with a focus on defense. Weeplow previously conducted a combat experimentation project on drone operation equipment inspection solutions with the Army Training and Doctrine Command. The company was also named to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's list of 100 defense innovation companies.

Outdoor Robot Developer PhysicsAI Secures Investment from Seoul National University
PhysicsAI has completed a seed funding round from SNU Holdings, Seoul National University's technology holding company. The investment amount was not disclosed.
PhysicsAI provides services that manage buildings and facilities using vision AI-based outdoor robots. Vision AI is a technology in which AI analyzes and interprets images and video captured by cameras. PhysicsAI's robots manage parking by identifying vehicles and license plates and perform tasks such as cleaning and snow removal. They can also transport objects weighing up to 100 kg. The company aims to simultaneously address cost and efficiency issues by introducing robotic automation to facility management sites that have traditionally been highly dependent on manual labor.
With this funding, the company will expand its services into various facility management areas including parking management, cleaning and snow removal, leveraging its outdoor mobile robot technology. Through field-based validation and commercialization, PhysicsAI plans to extend its business beyond the domestic market into overseas outdoor facility management markets. The company will also build a general-purpose outdoor mobile robot foundation model based on operational data accumulated across diverse outdoor environments.
