Cafe24 (042000.KQ), a Korean e-commerce platform provider, announced Thursday that it has launched the country's first virtual private server (VPS) hosting service with built-in AI agent framework 'OpenClaw.'
Users of the OpenClaw VPS hosting service can build customized AI agents by connecting large language models (LLMs) without any server or coding knowledge. OpenClaw is characterized by its ability to use AI agents to connect various tools on the web and PC, performing actual tasks such as web browsing, file processing, and messenger reporting on behalf of users.
Cafe24's OpenClaw VPS has significantly lowered the barrier to AI agent development. Previously, deploying OpenClaw on a self-hosted server required multiple procedures including Linux server environment setup, firewall configuration, and Docker installation. These tasks demanded specialized knowledge of servers and networks, presenting a high entry barrier for general users.
Cafe24 has compressed this OpenClaw AI agent setup process into three steps: service application and automatic server configuration; API key input through web-based onboarding; and messenger integration. The web-based onboarding, designed to help beginners get started quickly, supports integration with six general-purpose LLMs and Telegram messenger. Users can then utilize OpenClaw's detailed settings to design environments tailored to their purposes using all available messenger channels and AI models.
OpenClaw VPS also provides an AI agent environment designed for stable operation and security. Based on independent server infrastructure, it reduces the impact of network instability. A container-based isolation structure has been applied to enhance safety without requiring separate security configurations. The service is optimized for Korean users with won-based payments and one-on-one Korean language technical support.
"We have strengthened AI agent operational security, which is the most critical aspect," a Cafe24 official said. "Based on independent server infrastructure, we have minimized the impact of power outages or network instability that can occur on personal PCs or self-hosted servers, and we automatically apply container isolation structure to maintain safety without separate security measures."
"Starting with OpenClaw VPS, we will continue to create AI environments that enhance productivity in business and daily life," Cafe24 CEO Lee Jae-seok said.
