Elice Group, a full-stack artificial intelligence company, announced on the 25th that it has joined the LG AI Research-led consortium developing the government's "Dok-Pa-Mo" (Korea's Independent AI Foundation Model) project.
Elice Group was added as a strategic partner in the second-phase consortium after its AI-specialized infrastructure and service deployment capabilities were recognized.
In this project aimed at building Korea's own AI ecosystem known as "Sovereign AI," Elice Group plans to provide "K-EXAONE" as a stable API based on its Elice Portable Modular Data Center (AI PMDC) operating system. This will establish a managed AI platform environment where AI models can be immediately deployed.
The company will support public institutions and private enterprises in configuring and utilizing dedicated AI environments tailored to their needs without the burden of massive infrastructure construction or operations. Leveraging its Elice Cloud service operation capabilities, the company plans to help industries where security and reliability are paramount—including manufacturing, finance, and public sectors—immediately apply the K-EXAONE model. The strategy involves driving market expansion by providing industry-specific services such as task automation, knowledge retrieval (RAG), and document generation.
Accessibility for general users will also be enhanced. Elice Group will integrate the K-EXAONE model into "AI Helpy Chat," its generative AI solution for enterprises and institutions, by April. This will enable more users to experience the proprietary foundation model optimized for Korea's business environment in their workplace.
