England joined the semifinals after beating Norway on the strength of a Jude Bellingham brace.
England won 2-1 after 120 minutes of extra-time battle against Norway in the quarterfinals of the 2026 World Cup, held at Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on the 12th (Korea time).
With the win, England reached the semifinals for the first time in eight years since the 2018 Russia tournament, continuing its bid for a second-ever title, 60 years after the 1966 tournament. England will compete for a place in the final against the winner of the Argentina-Switzerland quarterfinal.
Norway, meanwhile, which reached the quarterfinals for the first time in its history through this tournament, could not overcome England's wall, and striker Erling Haaland failed in his hunt for goals, forcing him to end his contest for the scoring title at 7 goals for the tournament.
