The hot summer season is golf's off-season, but it also offers a chance to enjoy the sport more sensibly at reasonable prices. Golf courses, reservation platforms, and golf equipment companies are supporting cool summer golf with lively events, so golfers who check the information carefully can enjoy an enjoyable round.

According to the golf industry Wednesday, Gapyeong, Anseong, and Dongrae Benest GC and Glenross GC, operated by Samsung C&T's resort division, are unveiling special summer events to entice golfers.
Anseong Benest GC will hold the "Summer Rally Golf Tournament" starting on the 6th. Preliminary rounds run through August 31, with the finals in the Champion (stroke) and Challenger (New Peria) divisions held on September 6. Through a draw, finalists will receive generous prizes including free round passes at Anseong Benest GC, premium Korean beef sets, and drivers. The final winner will also receive benefits such as a one-year green fee exemption. In addition, the course will hold a "Stamp Tour Event" through August 31, in which one team each on weekdays and weekends will be selected by draw from customers who visited all four Samsung C&T golf courses to receive free green fee passes. "During the summer, we provide cooling items to help golfers beat the heat at Samsung C&T's four golf courses, including iced water, kombucha, cold towels, and ice packs," a Samsung C&T official said. "All Benest golf courses permit shorts on rounds at all times, so golfers can enjoy their rounds more coolly and comfortably in the summer."

Volvik is holding the "Volvik Brand Day" pop-up event at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, starting Wednesday, showcasing various products for night rounds. These include the luminous balls "Vivid Lumina" and "XIA Lumina," and the "UV Photoluminescent Pouch." The UV Photoluminescent Pouch helps Lumina balls emit powerful luminous functions within one minute simply by placing them inside. In particular, the company operated a putting experience zone with lessons alongside a fan autograph session with An So-hyeon, a Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) player sponsored by Volvik, drawing a steady stream of golfers. The Volvik brand pop-up store operates through the 12th of this month.

Kakao Golf Reservation, operated by Kakao VX, is running a service offering up to 30% off green fees at major golf courses nationwide through next month. All reservation holders receive a golf ball set, and depending on the golf course, benefits such as free coffee and free cart fees are also available. At Kakao VX's screen golf Friends Screen Quantum stores, the "Quantum 9X Jungwon Summer Challenge" will run throughout July. Among golfers who complete 18 holes at least once on each of Jungwon GC's three tournament courses, first place will receive a 1 million won prize based on ranking, and participants will also receive prizes such as putters, rangefinders, and chicken gift certificates.
