Korea University's Institute for Continuing Education is recruiting students for the second cohort of its "Korea University Park Golf Executive Program (KUPG)," which begins June 25, the institute said Tuesday.
Classes will run every Tuesday for 15 weeks. The program consists of practical training at major park golf courses nationwide, theory lectures on the Korea University campus, and special humanities lectures.
The program is overseen by Jin Young-ho, a Ph.D. and industry-academic cooperation professor at Korea University. The practical instructor lineup is composed of professional coaches who hold Level 1 park golf coaching certifications and have won national tournaments.
Applicants can complete final registration after submitting an application and undergoing an interview, and tuition payment and administrative procedures must be completed by the day before classes begin. The maximum capacity is 40 students.
"In the first cohort, we confirmed educational results as three students passed the practical exam for the sports leader certification," a Korea University Institute for Continuing Education official said. "Through this executive program, we will create not only professional practical education but also a culture of healthy exchange and learning."
