Gapyeong, Anseong and Dongrae Benest Golf Clubs and Glenross Golf Club, operated by the resort division of Samsung C&T, will roll out special summer events to provide a cool and enjoyable round experience, the company said Wednesday.
Anseong Benest GC will hold a "Summer Rally Golf Tournament" starting Aug. 6. Qualifying rounds will run through Aug. 31, and those who advance will compete in the finals on Sept. 6 to determine the final winners in the Champion (stroke play) and Challenger (New Peoria) divisions. Finalists will also receive generous prizes through a drawing, including free round tickets to Anseong Benest GC, premium Korean beef sets and drivers. The final winner will be granted benefits including a one-year exemption from green fees.
At Glenross GC, from Aug. 21 through Aug. 14, an event will be held at Hole 3 (par 3) in which a group receives a special menu at the halfway house if all members achieve a par or land on the green.

A stamp tour event, in which one weekday team and one weekend team will each be selected by drawing to win free green fee passes among customers who visit all four Samsung C&T golf courses, will also continue through Aug. 31.
Each golf course will provide golfers with various cooling items to beat the heat, including ice water, kombucha, cooling towels and ice packs, placed in carts, halfway houses and powder rooms. All Benest golf courses permit shorts on the course at all times, allowing golfers to enjoy their rounds more coolly and comfortably in summer, the company explained.
