Changwon LG, which topped the 2025-2026 professional basketball regular season, has assembled its roster and begun full-scale preparations for the new season.
LG announced Sunday that it had "ended the inactive period and assembled the roster to begin preparations for the 2026-2027 season."
Immediately after assembling, the roster will check players' physical conditions and conduct strength and court training in stages. The team will then focus on sharpening its scoring sense and building team cohesion through practice games. Jeong In-deok has been named the new season's captain, serving as a bridge between the players and the coaching staff.
LG head coach Cho Sang-hyun expressed his determination, saying, "There is great regret from last season," and adding, "Through intense training and many practice games, we will prepare well for the areas we lacked so that we can meet the fans' expectations." LG won the regular season title last season but failed to advance to the championship finals after suffering a 3-0 sweep against Goyang Sono in the semifinals of the playoffs.
To prepare for the new season, LG will hold a domestic training camp in Yanggu, Gangwon Province, from July 6 to 10. The team will continue training in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, from August 10 to 21, followed by an overseas training camp from September 9 to 18. The location of the overseas training camp will be confirmed at a later date.
