
The Dongguk Park Golf Team, launched on the foundation of the Park Golf Executive Program at Dongguk University's Graduate School of Police and Justice, held an official inauguration ceremony and set out to expand the base of park golf in Korea and develop players.
The Dongguk Park Golf Team held its inauguration ceremony at the Sky Garden on the 10th floor of Hotel Lake in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 26th of this month, officially declaring the team's launch, the team said on the 29th.
The ceremony was attended by about 80 people, including team members, sponsors, association officials, and alumni and faculty of the Park Golf Executive Program at Dongguk University's Graduate School of Police and Justice.
The Dongguk Park Golf Team consists of a total of 25 members, including team leader Pyo Sang-ok. The team was selected after conducting open recruitment targeting students of the Park Golf Executive Program at Dongguk University's Graduate School of Police and Justice, and then comprehensively evaluating candidates on technical skill, competition experience, growth potential, and character.
Shin Bong-tae, the team owner and chief professor at Dongguk University's Graduate School of Police and Justice, said in an encouraging address, "The Dongguk Park Golf Team will grow into a prestigious team that goes beyond developing excellent players to raise the standard of park golf in Korea and take the lead in expanding the base and nurturing talent."
Kim Jae-yong, chairman of International Park Golf, the main sponsor, said, "I hope the Dongguk Park Golf Team will become a new model for park golf in Korea and contribute to the development of domestic park golf."
