Leading off the top of the second inning, Lee pulled the fifth pitch from Miami starter Max Meyer, an inside low sweeper, to produce a hit deep into right field. It was his third straight game with a double. He then advanced to third on a hit by Schmitt and scored on a timely hit by Drew Gilbert.
After flying out to center field in the top of the third and grounding out to the infield in the top of the fifth, Lee added another hit in the top of the eighth. With one out and no runners on, he again sent the ball deep into right field and reached second base. Lee scored on a double by Casey Schmitt with two outs, accounting for the run that cut the deficit to 3-6.
San Francisco lost 3-6 after committing four errors.
