LG Twins captain Park Hae-min reached another milestone, becoming the first player in KBO League history to record 20 stolen bases in 13 consecutive seasons.
Park started as the No. 2 batter and center fielder in the home game against the Lotte Giants in the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, held Friday at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
In the bottom of the first inning, with a runner on first and no outs, Park hit a single to right field to reach base. He then stole second base during the at-bat of the following batter, Austin Dean.
With that steal, Park recorded his 20th stolen base of the season, setting the milestone of 20 steals in 13 consecutive seasons for the first time in KBO League history.
Since recording 36 steals in the 2014 season, when he became a regular for the Samsung Lions, Park has stolen 20 or more bases every season through this year.
Regarded as the KBO League's representative "master thief," Park claimed the stolen base title for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2018. He also recorded 30 or more steals for five straight seasons from 2014 to 2018, and 40 or more steals for three straight seasons from 2015 to 2017, demonstrating league-leading speed.
In particular, in the 2015 season, he recorded 60 steals, his personal best for a single season.
Park also recorded 49 steals last year, ranking first in the category and reclaiming the stolen base title for the first time in seven years.
Park's presence in career steals is also unrivaled. He has recorded 480 career steals, the most among active players.
Park is the only active player among the leaders in career steals. He is now within 25 of Lee Dae-ho's 505 steals, currently third on the all-time list, as he runs toward yet another record.
