Kim Hye-seong of the LA Dodgers, who is aiming for a return to the big leagues, delivered a strong performance with three hits and two RBIs in Triple-A.
Kim, who plays for the Oklahoma City Comets, the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate, started at shortstop batting eighth and went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and one run in a 2026 minor league game against the Charlotte Knights, the Chicago White Sox affiliate, at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Tuesday Korea time.
With a hit on the day, Kim extended his hitting streak to three consecutive games. His Triple-A season batting average rose sharply from .293 to .323.
After grounding out in his first at-bat in the third inning, Kim recorded his first hit of the day with a single up the middle in his second at-bat in the fifth inning, with two outs and a runner on first. He then stole second base on a double steal and scored by dashing home on an opposing fielding error.
Kim's bat stayed hot in the sixth inning. With his team leading 5-1, two outs, and runners on first and second, he drove a double down the left-field line for two RBIs. In the eighth inning, he added a single up the middle to complete his three-hit game.
Meanwhile, Tommy Edman, who is competing with Kim for the position, played second base batting second after completing rehabilitation from ankle surgery, but went 0-for-4 with one strikeout.
Led by Kim's performance, Oklahoma City routed Charlotte 10-1.
