Tom Kim is fine-tuning his game in Canada ahead of the US Open, a major championship.
Kim will compete in the PGA Tour's RBC Canadian Open (total purse of $9.8 million) at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley North Course (par 70) in Caledon, Ontario, Canada, beginning Wednesday.
The Canadian Open is the last event before the US Open, which takes place next week. Kim, who has three career PGA Tour victories, has played in 13 events this season without a win and made the top 10 just once. His best result was a tie for sixth at the Myrtle Beach Classic last May.
Kim finished tied for fourth at the 2024 Canadian Open but missed the cut at last year's event. Although the tournament has moved to Canada, a considerable number of top-ranked players are competing.
Among the world's top 10, Matt Fitzpatrick (England), Collin Morikawa (United States), Justin Rose (England), and Tommy Fleetwood (England) are on the entry list. This year's PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai (England) is also playing. Brooks Koepka (United States), who returned from LIV Golf, and THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson winner Wyndham Clark (United States) are also tuning up their game ahead of the US Open.
Kim Si-woo and Im Sung-jae chose to rest this week.
