Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang will serve as the ceremonial first-pitch thrower for the Doosan Bears professional baseball team at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
The Doosan club said Tuesday that Huang will throw the first pitch and Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won will take the plate at the home game against the Kiwoom Heroes at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on the 7th.
Born in Tainan, Taiwan, Huang immigrated to the United States at age 9 and is known to have a strong interest in baseball. Huang will take the mound to meet Korean baseball fans wearing a Doosan uniform bearing the number 93, signifying 1993, the year Nvidia was founded.
Park, the owner of the Doosan Bears, will wear a uniform with the number 96, symbolizing 1896, the year Doosan was founded, and step up to the plate to pair with Huang in a pitching-and-batting matchup.
