TaylorMade said Thursday it has begun selling its TP5 and TP5x golf balls at in-flight duty-free shops on airlines.
"This launch will provide a special in-flight shopping experience for golfers who enjoy global business travel, while also making it easier for them to experience the performance of premium golf balls proven on tour stages around the world," TaylorMade said.
The TP5 is the model used by Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland, who claimed back-to-back Masters titles this year, while the TP5x is favored by Nelly Korda of the United States, the world's top-ranked women's golfer. Both are five-piece balls.
The 2026 models incorporate TaylorMade's newly developed micro-coating technology, which the company says delivers more consistent performance. A larger core enhances energy transfer efficiency, generating faster ball speeds, while an ultra-thin urethane cover provides ample spin for the short game.
