
Manchester City will send more players to the 2026 FIFA North and Central American World Cup than any other club, according to the latest figures.
FIFA on Wednesday (Korea time) announced the final rosters of the 48 national teams competing in the tournament, comprising 1,248 players, or 26 per team.
The World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada starting on the 12th, will feature players from 449 clubs across 71 countries. Of these, Manchester City has produced the largest contingent.
Nineteen Manchester City players, including Norway's star striker Erling Haaland, will take the field at the tournament. The club's players are spread across 12 national teams: England, Algeria, Belgium, Croatia, Egypt, France, Ghana, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Uzbekistan.
Bayern Munich (Germany) follows with 18 players, while Arsenal (England) and Paris Saint-Germain (France) each contribute 16. Barcelona (Spain) has 15, followed by Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Atletico Madrid (Spain), Crystal Palace (England), and Manchester United (England) with 12 each. Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Galatasaray (Turkey), and Liverpool (England) each have 11.
By country of club affiliation, England leads by a wide margin with 200 players. Germany follows with 109, then France and Spain (86 each), Italy (71), Saudi Arabia (49), the Netherlands (46), Turkey (45), the United States (42), and Brazil and Portugal (36 each).
Qatar and Saudi Arabia each have 25 players competing from their respective domestic leagues. Qatar's left back Homam Ahmed (Cultural Leonesa, Spain) and Saudi Arabia's right back Saud Abdulhamid (Lens, France) are the only players on their squads playing abroad.
By contrast, Cape Verde and Curacao, both making their World Cup debuts, along with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Uruguay, have no players competing from their domestic leagues.
