Asiana Weihai Country Club & Resort, operated by Kumho Resort, has further strengthened its competitiveness through recent course renovations and guest room remodeling.
Expectations for a recovery in overseas travel demand, particularly for short-haul destinations such as China and Japan, are growing as fuel surcharges were slightly reduced in June. According to China's National Immigration Administration, the number of foreign visitors entering China visa-free in the first quarter of 2026 reached 8.315 million, up 29.3% from a year earlier. Weihai, China, in particular, is drawing attention as a nearby overseas travel destination for tourism and leisure, given that it is about an hour by air from Incheon Airport, along with visa-free entry policies and increased direct flights.
Asiana Weihai CC is a prestigious golf course known as the "Pebble Beach of the East," based on its natural scenery stretching along coastal cliffs and the competitiveness of its course. It was ranked 28th on the "2024-2025 China Top 100 Golf Courses" jointly selected by golf specialty media China Golf Digest and Sina Golf.
In response to growing demand and customer needs, Kumho Resort has been steadily raising the overall quality of its infrastructure, including the golf course and guest rooms, and reinforcing its premium round environment. This year, the resort completed course maintenance to enhance round quality, and has been receiving positive feedback by standardizing the green collar sections to improve management efficiency, thereby creating a uniform and well-finished course environment.
The resort has also been continuing infrastructure improvements by introducing new carts starting in 2025 to enhance customer safety and round convenience. The newly introduced carts are equipped with headlights and wipers, enabling stable driving even at night and in rainy weather. They also feature heated seats and portable fans to provide a comfortable round environment regardless of the season. In April this year, the resort additionally introduced new carts and replaced customer carts, continuing its ongoing improvements.
Guest room remodeling was also carried out to boost stay satisfaction. Some rooms were reconfigured with double bed and twin bed layouts, and additional washbasins were installed to enhance convenience. The latest amenities, including in-room wireless chargers and automatic bathroom blinds, were also newly applied to upgrade the customer experience. Asiana Weihai CC explained that it carries out room remodeling sequentially each year, continuing efforts to improve overall satisfaction not only with the golf course but also with the customer stay environment.
