The first Giga Cup GTR Screen Park Golf Partnership Tournament, sponsored by screen park golf brand GTR and hosted by Giga Golf, will open next month.
According to Giga Golf on Wednesday, the tournament will be operated in a hybrid format that combines screen play with actual field competition. The total prize pool, including cash and merchandise, is worth 100 million won.
The tournament will proceed in the order of qualifiers, selection rounds, semifinals, and finals. Qualifiers will run from June 12 to July 5, and the selection rounds from July 10 to July 19, at GTR stores nationwide. The semifinals will take place offline on August 1 at designated regional GTR stores (one location to be drawn among Mokdong BC, Wind Power Plant Tournament Venue CD, and Coastal Road Tournament Venue BC). The final round will be held offline on August 8 at venues including GTR Yangju Jade Park Golf Course, with two screen courses available as alternative draws depending on weather and on-site conditions.
Participation is limited to two-player teams, and each team may include no more than one player at the Masters level. Teams wishing to participate can apply at GTR stores nationwide. The entry fee is 20,000 won per team for the qualifiers and 50,000 won per team for the semifinals.
All participants will receive four 18-hole passes for GTR stores. Semifinalists will additionally receive one pass for the GTR Yangju Jade Park Golf field, and all semifinal and final participants will be given a 5,000 won meal discount voucher for the day of the event. During the tournament period, customers who purchase a Giga park golf club will be entered into a drawing for prizes including gold bars, clubs, and bags. Detailed tournament guidelines and rules are available on the GTR website.
