Garmin has launched the Approach Z10 laser rangefinder.
The device delivers precise distance measurements with 6x magnification, accurate to within 1 yard at distances of up to 350 yards. Weighing less than 200 grams, it is smaller and lighter than most smartphones, allowing golfers to carry it comfortably during a round, the company said.
When paired with compatible Garmin smartwatches, handheld devices, or the Garmin Golf smartphone application, the rangefinder activates a Range Relay function that transmits measured distance data. Once a target is locked, users can check the front and back distances of the green through vibration feedback on the connected device, enabling quick confirmation of pin positions.
The Approach Z10 also features a PlaysLike Distance function that calculates adjusted distances by accounting for elevation changes on the course, helping golfers select the right club.
