GTS&n, a screen golf simulator company, announced Thursday that it has completed the finals of the first GTS Play Park Golf Championship.
About 1,000 participants competed in the tournament, advancing through preliminaries and a round of 64 to reach the round of 32 and the finals. The round of 32 and finals were held on the 23rd of this month at the Play Park Golf Yeongyeong branch in Daegu. The round of 32 featured 16 men and 16 women, while the finals included eight men and eight women. The event was hosted by GTS&n and sponsored by Saintnine, Giga Golf, and Haewondan.
The total prize money and awards for the tournament amounted to approximately 100 million won. Winners in each men's and women's division received 3 million won, runners-up 2 million won, and third-place finishers 1 million won. All round-of-32 qualifiers received Haewondan products, while medalists were awarded park golf clubs from Saintnine and Giga Golf. Awards were also presented to the stores with the most participants in the round of 64.
GTS&n is also running a lucky draw event for tournament participants through its mobile application until the 31st of this month. Prizes including park golf clubs will be given to a total of 77 winners.
"This championship was an opportunity to reaffirm the strong interest in and potential of screen park golf," said Park Hyun-chul, CEO of GTS&n. "GTS&n plans to continue hosting various tournaments and participatory content to expand the base of screen park golf."
