The New York Knicks have advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years after consecutive victories over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
New York defeated Cleveland 130-93, a 37-point margin, in Game 4 of the 2025-2026 NBA Eastern Conference Finals at Rocket Arena in Ohio on Wednesday (Korea time).
The Knicks neutralized Cleveland's defense through balanced scoring, with Karl-Anthony Towns contributing 19 points, OG Anunoby adding 17, and Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges chipping in 15 points each.
After sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers 4-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals and dispatching Cleveland with the same 4-0 mark in the Conference Finals, New York will face the winner of the Western Conference matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
The last time the Knicks reached the Finals, in 1999, they lost to San Antonio 1-4. This season, showcasing solid teamwork, they are aiming for their first NBA title in 53 years, since 1973.
Facing elimination, Cleveland jumped out to a 5-0 lead early in the game, but the advantage was short-lived. Led by Brunson, New York quickly turned the tables and stretched the margin to 68-49 by halftime with explosive scoring.
Already trailing 0-3 in the series, Cleveland struggled to mount a comeback as turnovers stalled their rallies. With about six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the score at 111-76, New York pulled Brunson and other starters and rotated in bench players to conserve energy for the Finals.
Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 31 points, but the Cavaliers committed 22 turnovers and could not reverse the tide of the game.
