CJ Group Chairman Lee Jay-hyun visited the venue of The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a PGA Tour event with a total purse of $10.3 million for which CJ serves as title sponsor, to cheer on the company's sponsored players.
Chairman Lee visited TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, on Friday (local time) to watch the tournament. It marks his first in-person visit to The CJ Cup Byron Nelson since the event was relocated to the United States in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 and scheduling considerations.
Lee closely watched the play of CJ-sponsored golfers Kim Si-woo and Im Sung-jae as their group passed by, attentively following their performance.

He remained at the venue afterward, taking in the play of world-class golfers.
CJ, led by Chairman Lee, is a company with a particular passion for golf. The group has hosted a regular PGA Tour event since 2017. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the venue was moved to the United States. Since 2023, CJ has served as the title sponsor of the Byron Nelson tournament, hosting it as "The CJ Cup Byron Nelson."
During the visit, Lee also stopped by House of CJ, located at the tournament site. House of CJ is a global K-lifestyle space where visitors can experience K-Food, K-Beauty, and K-Entertainment in one location. Lee carefully toured the House of CJ booths and checked on the setup of the brands.
Lee plans to remain at the tournament through its final day. He will then visit CJ Olive Young's first U.S. store and global flagship location, set to open in Pasadena, California, at the end of this month. Olive Young plans to sequentially open multiple stores across the United States, including at Westfield in Los Angeles.
