The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour Hana Bank Invitational will be held in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, in June. This year's total prize money is 1.3 billion won, with the winner taking home 260 million won.
Now in its eighth edition, the Hana Bank Invitational was relaunched in 2018 as a successor to the "KEB Invitational," a Korea-China tour event held six times between 2008 and 2010.
Over the past three years, the tournament has been the only domestic event jointly hosted by the Korean and Japanese golf associations, establishing itself as a flagship men's golf tournament representing Asia.
This year's competition, held under the sole sponsorship of the KPGA, will feature top players from the KPGA Tour as well as elite players from Japan and China, who will compete fiercely at a high level to determine Asia's top golfer.
Ham Jeong-woo, a member of the Hana Financial Group golf team who won the Asian Tour's Singapore Open this year, will compete alongside Han Seung-su, Park Eun-shin, Lee Sung-ho, and Park Sang-hyun (sub-sponsorship), all leading figures of present and future Korean men's golf, in a bid to claim the sponsor's trophy.
Lee Seung-min, who completed the "Career Grand Slam" of the world's three major disability golf tournaments by winning the "G4D Open," will also participate, along with An Sung-hyun (amateur), the youngest-ever member of the national team. Moon Do-yeop, who took the top spot in the Genesis Points ranking after winning the KPGA Gyeongbuk Open, as well as Oh Seung-taek and Song Min-hyuk, who each captured their first wins of the season, will challenge for their second victories of the season.
From Japan, Takashi Ogiso, who won his first title at the 2024 Hana Bank Invitational, will compete. From China, Chen Guxin, who plays on both the Asian Tour and the China Tour, and Jin Zihao, a six-time winner on the China Tour, will vie for the championship.
"We will spare no effort or support to ensure the successful hosting and operation of the Hana Bank Invitational, which leads exchange and development in Asian men's golf," a Hana Financial Group official said. "We hope spectators will experience a special day enjoying the spectacular play of Asia's top players in person, along with various attractions and events with their families."
Gallery tickets will be sold in advance through Hana Bank's mobile app, Hana One Q, until June 17. Daily passes are priced at 10,000 won on weekdays and 20,000 won on weekends. A 50% discount applies to advance purchases with a Hana Card, and a 30% discount applies to on-site purchases. Free admission will be offered to spectators who visit Namchuncheon Station via the Gyeongchun Line or ITX-Cheongchun, as well as to holders of the "Hana Narasarang Card."
