Harry Kane of Bayern Munich claimed his third consecutive Bundesliga top scorer title after netting a hat-trick in the season finale.
Bayern Munich crushed Cologne 5-1 in their home match in the final 34th round of the 2025-2026 Bundesliga at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on Saturday (Korea time). Bayern, which had already secured the title, finished the season with 89 points. The club's total of 122 goals broke the Bundesliga's all-time record of 101 goals set in the 1971-1972 season, rewriting the mark after 52 years.
Kane opened the scoring with a volley in the 10th minute. Three minutes later, he added another goal from a free kick. He completed his hat-trick with a long-range shot in the 69th minute, bringing his league tally to 36 goals. Kane became the first player in Bundesliga history to win the top scorer title in three consecutive seasons, including his debut season. He has now scored 98 goals in 94 Bundesliga matches, putting the 100-goal milestone within reach.
Bayern's Michael Olise, who recorded 15 goals and 19 assists, was named the season's Most Valuable Player (MVP). Olise will compete for the 2026 FIFA World Cup title in North and Central America with the French national team.
South Korean national team defender Kim Min-jae, who is set to play in the North and Central American World Cup, was left off Bayern's match-day squad. He was substituted off due to knee pain after playing only the first half against Wolfsburg on May 10.
Bayern held a championship celebration after the match. Midfielder Leon Goretzka, who is leaving the club after eight seasons including this one, lifted the trophy handed over by captain Manuel Neuer.
Bayern will face Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final on May 24, and a victory would secure the club a domestic double.
